Position: Administration Assistant

Job Description:
A company is seeking an Administration Assistant who will support exports by Japanese companies to the competent country and imports of Japanese products by companies in the competent country.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Export promotion (Trade): Collect and provide information (by e-mail, telephone, interviews, etc.) in response to consultations on the export of Japanese products to the competent countries.
2. Information gathering, documentation, and reporting on import and sales regulations and systems in the countries under their jurisdiction.
3. Respond to enquiries for products from companies in the competent country (by e-mail, telephone, interviews, etc.).
4. Assist in other export promotion-related work, after prior consultation with the director.
5. Receive enquiries, mainly in English, from inside and outside the office and refer them to the appropriate department within the office and to the appropriate parties outside the office.
6. Other assistance in general administration-related work, after prior consultation with the director.
Requirements:
1. Eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
2. Available to work five days a week.
3. Native level English speaker with excellent business writing skills.
4. Proficiency in Japanese for daily conversations, business meetings, and reading business emails is preferred.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Able to tackle export support work for Japanese companies and import support work for UK companies with a sense of responsibility and satisfaction.
7. Have a sense of responsibility to achieve work by deadlines and a cooperative attitude to work with and help colleagues.
Working Conditions:
1. Working hours: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM).
2. Overtime: Generally not required, but up to 1 hour per day during busy periods.
3. Work location: Primarily at the company’s London office, with potential travel within the UK and abroad for meetings with UK companies.
4. Equipment provided: Desk, chair, phone, computer, and other necessary office supplies.
