Sustainable Products Engineer
Role Overview:
The Sustainable Products Engineer will create and driver the strategic direction and implementation of a Sustainability ethos into our existing and new product design, primarily through the development of our Eco-design and LCA processes.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
1. Continue supporting the changing sustainability needs of our customers in line with business and sustainability strategies
2. Development and implementation of an Eco-design strategy, identifying how we can embed sustainability criteria into our product development process
3. Working closely with colleagues to define requirements which will minimise the environmental impact of our products and solutions throughout their lifecycle
4. Accelerating and embedding of the LCA process into our Engineering procedures to enable easy replication and expansion
5. Promoting and advocating product sustainability to our internal and external stakeholders
Your previous experience is likely to include….
6. A relevant bachelor’s degree, or qualification through experience
7. Developing and implementing strategy
8. Familiarity with the concept of eco-design and application within product development
9. Familiarity with LCA process and relevant regulations and standards
10. Using sustainability drivers as an enabler for proactive environmental decisions
