Aircraft Component maintenance organisation have an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Commercial & Procurement Manager to oversee all commercial and procurement contractual matters within the company. This role supports business performance and growth through proactive contract management with customers and suppliers. The successful candidate will manage the commercial and procurement teams, ensuring efficient processes for quoting, contracting, and bought-in services that support operations and deliver a seamless customer experience.
It is essential that you have management experience, an understanding of Aviation maintenance and repair and can offer commercial experience with Contract negation and law. You should be confident managing both customer accounts and internal teams
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary representative for all contractual issues, including contract negotiations.
Develop strong working relationships with customers and suppliers at both senior and working levels.
Provide commercial insights to drive profitable growth and support the organisation's long-term goals.
Review existing pricing structures and competitor pricing to identify opportunities for improved profitability.
Develop, implement, and manage efficient commercial and procurement procedures.
Produce KPIs to monitor performance and identify improvements.
Ensure compliance with applicable customer and supplier contractual requirements and regulations (e.g., HMRC import/export, Export control).
Support sales initiatives by ensuring customers understand available services and project managing the introduction of new services.
Liaise daily with operations Department Heads to ensure excellent customer service and consistent supplier performance.
Monitor the commercial performance of customer accounts and manage additional works to prevent commercial leakage.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure adequate stock levels and optimum inventory turnover.
Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Maintain a robust approved supplier management system and monitor supplier performance.
Line manage and develop the Commercial and Procurement teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety.
Ensure secure upkeep of commercial and procurement electronic records in line with data protection regulations.
Provide detailed reports and metrics to the General Manager as required.
Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and implementing corrective actions.This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependant on experience.
