The post holder will supervise the working of all team members and support the training and assessment of student nurses, whilst demonstrating the trust Values and Behaviours for nursing and midwifery staff at all times.
The post holder has a duty of care to patients and is expected to comply fully with best practice standards and comply with trust policies for personal and patient safety and the prevention of healthcare associated infections.

Performing staff rota, taking into account skill mix and budget under the supervision of the unit Matron.
Demonstrate and understand the standards regarding Outpatient Settings and have an awareness of capacity and demand within the unit.
To resolve conflict using a range of problem solving styles and skills.
Deputise in the absence of the unit matron.
To participate in the unit’s recruitment and retention in conjunction with the unit Matron.
Reduce sickness absence; workplace accidents and promote zero tolerance on violence against staff.
