The Audit & Assurance Learning and Development team is looking for a PCAOB Training content author and facilitator who will be responsible for the design and delivery of technical training on PCAOB related topics in line with Forvis Mazars’ Global Audit strategy.
This team member will be working with subject matter experts (SMEs), to design and produce impactful audit courses to train our people on audit technical topics related to Forvis Mazars’ audit methodology, and more specifically in relation to PCAOB standards.
This role is essential to the development of quality training which directly impacts the work of our auditors.

Job Role
Reporting to the Global Head of Learning for Audit & Assurance, you will be responsible for the development of PCAOB technical learning content for all grades of auditors and will also be involved in the delivery of global audit training on the same technical topics.
You will be responsible for applying foundation design skills in conjunction with technical accounting and audit expertise to develop Audit training material for classroom delivery and/or technology-enabled solutions (e-learnings, videos, podcasts, etc…). Although you will be working closely with relevant SMEs, it will be your responsibility to ensure materials are technically accurate and educationally impactful.
You will be responsible for both the development of new content required to address emerging business requirements but also the update of existing training materials to reflect changing regulatory or business requirements. New or updated content should be designed to fit a range of delivery approaches including face-to-face sessions, simulation or e-learning.
You will be part of a team fully dedicated to the production and the delivery of global audit training which implies collaboration and interaction on a daily basis.
Tasks will include:
* Producing comprehensive training materials on PCAOB, including guidance to trainers, practical examples, interactive and engaging activities and case studies, as well as assessments
* Creating all training materials using the production processes developed by the Global Audit Training team, which covers all stages from Project Plan to review and validation, testing and release of the courses.
* Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure the content is technically correct, ensuring regular communication with them and following up on any review points raised by the SME.
* Reviewing and updating content of existing training courses
* Creating assessments and analysing completion and success rates of the learners
* Participating in Professional Bodies events and lectures and keeping your technical knowledge up to date
* Researching off the shelf training materials
* Facilitating global PCAOB audit training sessions either in classroom sessions or via remote delivery (Webinars).
* Producing impactful training content by using tools like EasyGenerator, Camtasia, PowerPoint or Teams Polls (depending on the format and objectives of the training sessions).
* Creating videos and/or audio segments, where relevant, to demonstrate processes or use of specific tools
* Monitoring the progress on the project with both the SME and the Global Head of Audit learning.
* Tracking time spent on each project and reporting on a monthly basis to the Global Head of Learning.
* Monitoring and analysing the feedback received on the delivered training.
Duties are likely to vary as the role develops, so to be successful you will need to be flexible.
Other tasks may include:
* Assisting in the testing of new training courses prepared by other team members.
* Analysing registrations for training sessions and following up on attendance.
* Reviewing statistics on training status for selected courses.
* Assisting in setting the global audit training timetable
* Delivery briefing sessions for facilitators who will be part of our regional PCAOB training capability
Requirements
We are looking for a qualified accountant with prior PCAOB audit experience (3 years’ experience minimum) and a strong interest in Learning & Development (L&D) who is currently working as an auditor or in an L&D role with experience in delivering/facilitating technical training programmes preferably in audit. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as able to work professionally and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
This person should have:
* Strong technical accounting and audit skills (with a focus on PCAOB standards)
* Working knowledge of the systems / tools used within the audit environment
* Previous experience in delivering PCAOB or audit related training would be a plus
* Experience of working and operating within an environment of constant regulatory scrutiny
* Ability to build and maintain good relationships and to work effectively in a team
* Ability to communicate very confidently and effectively in English, both in written and verbal form
* Innovative and creative approach towards new challenges
* Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively
* A second language would be beneficial but not essential (French, Spanish, German…)
