What will you be doing?
Our collaborative educational Trust serves a vibrant rural community and is committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for pupils and students in our schools Dobwalls, Landulph and Trewidland Primary and Liskeard, Looe and Saltash Secondary. Collectively we have a total of approximately 3,000 students, 450 staff and a budget of £17m. The Trust is seeking to appoint further Trustees to join the Board. Some experience and expertise is obviously an advantage, but enthusiasm for creating a safe and inspiring environment for our children to learn in is more important.
Trustees are jointly responsible for the general control and management of the administration of the Trust. In addition they must carry out the three core governance functions:
1. Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
2. Hold the Executive Team to account for the educational performance of the Trust’s schools
3. Oversee the financial performance of the Trust and make sure its money is well spent
