About this opportunity
Due to new investment in this key site for Crown, we have opportunities for Skilled Mechanics to support our ends line at Botcherby which is one of Crown’s biggest plants in Europe.
Planned ends volume for 2025 is currently 6 billion, we expect this to rise to over 8 billion with the planned investment, making this an exciting time to join Crown.
With 3 can lines installed as well; our capacity is in excess of 1.5 billion cans with the potential to grow further.
Shift Pattern
You will work on a Continental Based Shift Rota, attending 2 x 12-hour days followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, then 4 days off.

Salary and Benefits
• A competitive salary of £50,254.56 including shift premium

Main Responsibilities
• Ensure the efficient operation of production machinery
• Maintain quality standards by making adjustments and modifications to machinery
• Record and report on the results of quality checks
• Maintain a supply of raw materials
• By continued observation, locate, rectify, and record line stoppages and machine breakdowns
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities that impact safety, spoilage, production, quality, and efficiency
• Identify and analyse faults causing machine failure or below optimum performance, and effect adjustments/tooling changes/repairs
• Follow safe working practices as required by the Health & Safety at Work Act, PUWER and Power Press Regulations
• Ensure good standards of housekeeping by regular cleaning of machinery and floor.
Required Education and Qualifications
• Level 3 mechanical apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ (motor vehicle, HGV or similar)
Required Experience, Skills and Competencies
• Experience conducting maintenance activity
• Commitment to Health and Safety
