About The Role
This is a key role, manufacturing and assembling production items for multiple manufacturing sectors, including, but not limited to prototype and motorsport, automotive, military, medical and industrial applications. Assembly and completion of production products against strict planned schedules to a very high standard of detail and quality.
What You Will Do
* Inspect, test and prepare a variety of cells in accordance with documented procedures.
* Liaise with the Team Leader / Lead Technician to deliver products to the agreed schedule.
* Log and report faults and issues found during build, and feed back to the quality management department.
* Maintain accurate and traceable records into a computer-based system.
* Ensure strict adherence to quality standards.
* Use computerised systems to maintain cell prep data integrity for audit purposes.
* Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental guidance and regulations.
* Drive continual improvement of process, work and test instructions.
* Problem solving - report and resolve issues within the work area.
* Maintain the working area to acceptable cleanliness standards, adhering to 5S (Sort, Set in order, shine, standardise and sustain).
* Support other Fortescue Zero programmes as required by the business.
About You
* Excellent communication skills.
* Organised, precise and pragmatic approach to working.
* Good working knowledge of proprietary PC software e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Electrical & Mechanical technical knowledge & ability.
* Able to use initiative and respond quickly to problems.
* Flexible working approach.
* Ability to maintain high standards of staff and department presentation, as appropriate for a facility visited by potential customers and other VIP’s.
* Experience of working in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
