Digital and Marketing Technology Team
The digital and marketing technology team implements and manages the firm’s integrated marketing information systems and digital marketing communications channels. The digital channels include our public and client websites, email marketing system, content libraries, and blogs. The team is also responsible for the technologies that support core business development and marketing processes, including experience collection, contact management, pitching and opportunity management, CV management, event management, client segmentation, and marketing analytics. These broad areas of activity support each other and overlap, helping to provide a 360° view of our interactions with a client.
What You Will Do
This role sits in the digital marketing and technology team in Belfast and supports the firm’s website editing and content review activities globally, including:
1. Managing website content tickets raised in the workflow system, ensuring all vital information has been provided by stakeholders and assigning tasks to team members.
2. Reviewing website content for accuracy, adherence to brand guidelines, and digital best practices (including SEO); working with stakeholders to make changes as appropriate.
3. Liaising with stakeholders to provide updates on the status of their tickets and renegotiating deadlines where needed.
4. Managing the daily handover with the U.S. digital team, ensuring content requests are passed over for attention during U.S. working hours.
5. Assisting with the review of published content and identifying spelling, grammar, and layout improvements, alongside other enhancements.
6. Working with members of the digital and marketing technology team to manage the website content archiving process, including liaising with authors of content that is due for review.
7. Assisting with the administration of our other publishing tools including Passle.
8. Helping to keep any workflow process documentation up-to-date.
9. Identifying any changes to improve the workflow process for the digital team and requestors.
10. Keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing to help support the creation and delivery of strong, multi-channel content campaigns.
11. Assisting on key projects, providing updates to management on a regular basis.
12. Liaising with and supporting internal stakeholders, managing expectations in line with service agreements and A&O Shearman’s strategic objectives.
What You Will Have
1. Experience working with content workflow/delegation and management systems.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to confidently interact at all levels and across cultures.
3. Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
4. Track record of working under pressure.
5. Self-motivated, proactive, and innovative, with good problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues and delegate to technical colleagues or external providers as required.
7. Strong editorial and proofreading skills.
8. Attention to detail and ability to quality check own work and understand and apply house style guidelines.
9. Understanding of SEO and how to write content for websites.
You Will Stand Out If You Bring
1. Experience of website content management systems.
2. Experience of using email marketing systems.
3. HTML and CSS skills.
4. A general background of working with digital assets and web technologies such as websites and apps.
