Historic Royal Palaces is a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world and their magnificent historical gardens.
We are recruiting for an Information Management Apprentice, giving you a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst working at these historical sites.
To provide end user support for key applications including HRP’s M365 SharePoint environment and digital asset management system
To provide flexible levels of support to the Information Management team across all information management activities
Whilst studying towards your apprenticeship you will also be:
System support
1. Provide technical support to end users in an efficient manner, escalating with relevant staff when necessary and maintaining communication with end users
2. Provide one-to-one coaching for users of specific applications including our Digital Asset Management system; M365 SharePoint including document libraries, communication pages and other related applications
3. Build and maintain SharePoint sites to HRP’s standardised templates and requirements
4. Document actions to ensure clear audit trails and progression of issues
5. Develop documentation and training materials for various audiences
6. Manage user account administration and permissions
7. Engage with HRP teams and stakeholders to help HRP maximise the use of M365 to meet business needs and increase productivity
8. Support and coach users in the use of standard office applications in Microsoft 365 applications and its records management related features
9. Undertake data analysis to evidence use
10. Provide end user training and support
Administration
11. Team administration support using a variety of tools
12. Manage intranet pages under the Information Management team’s remit (departmental pages, Technical Hub, People Hub)
13. Provide regular articles promoting Information Management and technical education for the HRP intranet
14. Attend bi-monthly Information Management team meetings
15. Other duties as assigned
More than anything we are looking for potential, but, as this Apprenticeship starts at level 3 we do have a few eligibility requirements:
16. You must be 18 years old or over on 2nd September 2025.
17. Live in UK (resident in country role is based).
18. You must not have completed a degree or equivalent level qualification in the UK or elsewhere and not already be in full-time education.
19. Five GCSEs at grade C (or 4) or above, including English, science/engineering and mathematics (or equivalent)
