International Trade Assistant - Letter of Credit Expert

What does the role involve?
1. Working closely with Traders to oversee operations relating to Contracts, payments, Documents, and Coordination of cross-trade shipments with Suppliers/Customers/Ship.
2. Ensuring that all obligations arising from the contract are carried out, and that any necessary requirements are complied with, ensuring adherence to Sanctions compliance and any local regulations.
3. Acting as the contact point between the operation teams of customers and suppliers during coordination and ensuring smooth communication and operation of shipments to avoid unnecessary additional shipment costs.
4. Monitoring vessel movements by working closely with the shipping operations team.
5. Processing Letter of Credit (LC): issuing LCs to suppliers, reviewing the LC from buyers, presenting the LC documents to negotiating bank, and submitting the LC documents to issuing bank.
6. Assisting Traders to accomplish the KYC procedure for new deals.
7. Ensuring that all Operational Information is saved on the company's systems in a timely fashion and ensuring that adequate records are kept.
Who are you?
1. Experienced in the above.
2. Hands-on and diplomatic.
3. Aware of professional environments and particularly Asian working culture.
4. Prepared to work to different time zones and travel for extended periods of time to Asia or elsewhere.
5. Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
6. Graduated with Business management, Accounting, or other Business Management related degrees.
7. Good understanding of international trade.
8. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
9. Good communication skills, cross-departmental coordination, and integration of external resources.

Salary: Dependent on experience.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. Some out-of-office hours will be needed in day-to-day role at times, and overseas travel is required for the role. This is not a WFH/remote role.
