Our Compliance team plays a vital role in ensuring that the organisation adheres to critical regulations and legislation while fostering a culture of ethical business practices.
Joining us as a Compliance Specialist offers a unique opportunity to contribute to and learn from this dynamic department, and you’ll play a vital role in helping maintain the integrity of our compliance management systems.
*Please note, this is a 12-month fixed term contract to provide cover for maternity leave. This position is based at our UK HQ in Southend-on-Sea, with hybrid remote working possible.*
Your responsibilities
* Help to manage our compliance management system and programme, including data protection
* Identify and pro-actively review and manage potential compliance risks
* Review compliance clauses in contracts and other legal documents
* Create compliance documents and statements of work
* Work closely with key stakeholders and wider Legal & Compliance colleagues both in the UK&I as well as EMEA and globally
* Help facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Compliance department and other business units
* Serve as a first point of contact for compliance-related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate advice to the business
Your qualifications
* Degree educated in a Legal or relevant discipline (this is not essential)
* Hold a Compliance or Legal qualification from a recognised body
* Knowledge of all standard compliance legislation and regulations (e.g. anti-bribery)
* Strong collaboration and communication skills across a range of mediums (e.g. written, face to face, virtual)
* Desire to develop your knowledge, skills, and expertise
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
* Ability to balance workload and high pressure at times
* Team and service oriented
