Job purpose: To conduct electrical engineering operations to the highest possible standard of quality, efficiency and with minimal wastage. To ensure a provision of a safe working environment for all colleagues. Essential – Specific skill-based qualification to level 3 or above, OR, have 5 years field based experience – Experience of 3 phase systems / equipment – 18TH edition Desirable – Ideally an NVQ or equivalence in the core role – Have additional field based skill qualifications – 2391 Test and Inspection – Health & Safety First Aid (3 day) – Confined Space Trained. – Experience working with water control assets on rivers and waterways. Further Aspects of the role – There is, on occasion the requirement to work away. Generally, this tends to be Monday – Friday, with weekends at home. – Training and Development: Staying updated on the latest developments in electrical engineering, technologies, and maintenance techniques through training and professional development activities. – Testing and Calibration: Conducting tests, measurements, and calibrations on electrical systems and equipment to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. – Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements in electrical maintenance practices.
