Position:
An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
The Enhanced Intermediate Care Team (eICT) is a multidisciplinary team (MDT), working together with patients and carers to provide rapid assessment of service users' needs. eICT offers an alternative to hospital admission by maintaining people in their homes and facilitating the smoothest and earliest possible discharge from hospital. The multi-disciplinary team provides assessment, short-term intensive rehabilitation, and support. We have opportunities for highly motivated individuals to join our busy, enthusiastic team, committed to delivering quality services while working closely with colleagues across professions and agencies.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
A diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy is essential, along with evidence of working autonomously within the community setting. You should also have extensive clinical experience and evidence of continuing professional development. You will have the opportunity to develop competencies in Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Social Care, working in an inter-professional manner.
The ability to utilize advanced communication skills as part of a wider MDT is vital, along with knowledge of Older People's Services, Care Management, and the Rehabilitation Framework. A genuine interest and understanding of inter-professional and inter-agency working is essential.
Hours:
37 per week - The service is provided 7 days a week, so weekend work is essential but on a rota basis.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
UK driving licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
