The Role: We’re looking for inspirational, compassionate, and resilient female Support Workers to join our 24/7 supported accommodation service for vulnerable young women aged 18-25. This role is about more than providing support — it’s about nurturing potential, empowering independence, and helping each young woman build the confidence to create a brighter future. You’ll work closely with young women facing complex challenges, including mental health struggles and crisis situations. Collaboration is key — you’ll work in partnership with Social Services and other multi-agency professionals to deliver holistic, trauma-informed support tailored to each customer’s needs. You’ll work flexibly across a Monday to Sunday rota, covering a mix of day and waking night shifts, ensuring 24/7 support is always available. What You’ll Do: - Build meaningful, trust-based relationships with young women to support their journey towards independence and social inclusion. - Provide crisis intervention and emotional support, helping customers navigate challenging situations with compassion and calm. - Develop and implement personalized support plans and risk assessments rooted in Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) principles. - Collaborate with Social Services and external agencies to provide holistic, wraparound support. - Inspire a positive, nurturing culture that empowers young women to build resilience and take control of their lives. About You: We’re looking for passionate individuals who: - Understand what exceptional person-centred support looks like and strive to deliver it every day. - Have experience supporting young people at risk, former LAC (Looked After Children), or those Leaving Care. - Are skilled at handling mental health crises and challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism. - Possess excellent communication, IT, writing, and reporting skills. - Can confidently conduct meaningful key-working sessions, offering guidance and emotional support. - Know how to de-escalate situations and use problem-solving skills to create safe spaces. - Are experts in developing, reviewing, and embedding support plans and risk assessments. - Excel at building positive relationships with external agencies and customer support networks. - Embrace our core values and work passionately to embed them in everything you do.
