Main duties of the job
* Ensure you participate in the dispensary team meetings and daily set up, providing good communication, hand over and raise any concerns.
* Monitor, observe and streamline workflow using the pharmacy tracking system, proactively manage bottle necks of work and support the team. Ensuring workflow is consistently moving through the process.
* Accurately manage stock of controlled drugs, including ordering and receiving, investigating discrepancies and documenting any discrepancies/ findings to the dispensary team leader/ manager.
* Dispense clinical trial medication and keep appropriate records and to be available to advise dispensary staff and problem-solve prescription related queries.
* Manage the workload according to the agreed Pharmacy turnaround times and escalate when appropriate to the operational lead on the day.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* ACPT accredited or willing to work towards qualification.
* NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or Equivalent.
