The vacancy We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a cash and bank finance assistant. You will be responsible for delivering transactional finance services to the organisation, ensuring all monetary transactions-both incoming and outgoing-are recorded accurately in our systems. Your responsibilities will include reconciling detailed bank accounts and D365 cashbooks to ensure daily postings are completed accurately and in line with established processes. You will conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, adhere to month-end processes, and download and validate bank statements for system integration. Additionally, you will manage the accurate entry of all monetary transactions across multiple accounts, including investigative tasks and file manipulations where necessary, always ensuring compliance with SLAs and Bromford standards. You will also take ownership of the accounts receivable function, including raising compliant sales invoices, processing system adjustments for customer accounts, and resolving open items and queries through proactive engagement with stakeholders. Maintaining a proactive and self-motivated approach, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes. A key aspect of this role involves fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery. You will operate within our policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance at all times while supporting the team in achieving strategic goals. This role is permanent and full time. You will be based from our main office in Wolverhampton with regular home working available. The role requires a basic DBS check. Key Requirements: Experience in high-volume shared service environments, working to SLAs and meeting processing targets Confident communicator with the ability to challenge effectively and build strong stakeholder relationships Strong time management, attention to detail, and adherence to processes and controls Skilled in problem-solving and tenacity in achieving results Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office, with a knack for creating tools and functions Adaptable to change and committed to continuous improvement Experience in regulated sectors is a plus Studying towards an accountancy qualification Analytical mindset, collaborative approach, and sound decision-making skills The closing date is 5 January 2025.
