Job Title: SLCN Support Assistant Location: Bedford, MK42 Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Salary: £90 to £100 Per Day Job Duties: Provide support to students with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) in an educational setting Assist in implementing individualised education plans and strategies for students with SLCN Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment Conduct assessments and provide feedback on students' progress Support students in developing their communication skills through various interventions Required Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or related field Experience working with individuals with SLCN in an educational setting Knowledge of various communication disorders and their impact on learning Education: A qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience working with individuals with SLCN in an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of different communication disorders and their implications Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively Preferred Qualifications: Additional training or certification in specific interventions for SLCN Experience working with children and young people with SLCN Working Conditions: The role involves working in an educational setting with students with SLCN Full-time hours, Monday to Friday Potential travel to different schools within Bedford All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
