The Position Empower Healthcare Through Training Excellence Roche Diagnostics is seeking a dynamic Training Specialist to join our Field UK Applications team within the Technical Services department. This field-based role offers a unique opportunity to deliver world-class training support for Roche’s Near Patient Care and Cobas products, such as Liat, while contributing to an outstanding customer experience. This position involves regular travel across the UK South region, including overnight stays and occasional unsocial hours to meet business requirements. The Opportunity In this role, you will: Deliver Expert Training : Provide and record product training for internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with Roche standards. Customer Support : Handle training-related inquiries, from product installation to ongoing contract support, offering occasional troubleshooting and technical assistance as needed. On-Site Activities : Perform audits, produce reports, and support hardware/software implementations during product launches. Technical Resource : Act as a valuable technical resource for the Near Patient Care (NPC) sales and marketing team, assisting with tenders, demonstrations, presentations, and customer visits. Who You Are You are a highly motivated professional with a passion for training and technical support, ready to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector. Essential Qualifications and Skills : Demonstrates depth of scientific knowledge, both theoretical and practical, in a medical setting. Strong communication, time management, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently manage responsibilities. Full UK/EU (or equivalent) driving license. Passport for potential overseas training. Fluent in written and verbal English. Desirable Skills and Experience : Degree-level education or equivalent. Background in nursing, Biomedical Science (BMS), or training. Knowledge of Primary/Secondary Care organisations within the NHS, ideally in a hospital environment. Experience in designing and delivering high-quality, customised training programmes aligned with patient pathway strategies. Familiarity with medical analytical systems, quality assurance, and customer relationship management tools. Proven troubleshooting experience and a track record of providing on-site customer support. Awareness of the diagnostics industry and experience working in a multicultural environment.
