Due to the continued expansion of our award-winning data centre design and build business, we have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic, Subcontractor Co-Ordinator. Sudlows, who work throughout the UK, have a growing portfolio of clients globally. We have over 200 staff and have achieved recent growth with ongoing expansion plans. The Role
Due to ongoing business growth, Sudlows Group has identified the requirement for a more robust subcontractor management system, and therefore a new role is required to manage our subcontractor development process and carry out administration works. This new role will assist in adding value across various Group business functions, including Health and Safety, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery. The role will report to the Head of Procurement & Commercial.
Key tasks and Responsibilities
1. Managing new contractor onboarding and approval process
2. Supporting new subcontractors on becoming approved Sudlows partners
3. Development of new Subcontractor quality system ensuring compliance with Sudlows Health and Safety requirements
4. Categorise, develop, and implement a new approved subcontractor list for Sudlows Group; including vendor assessment and lessons learned re subcontractor performance
5. Supporting project and site managers with subcontractor Project by Project appraisal process, for both Health and Safety and Quality
6. Cross functional working between Sudlows departments to support business goals
7. Administration and upkeep of management systems
8. To carry out annual Subcontractor reviews with senior management team
9. To ensure compliance as necessary with insurance requirements, and legislative issues eg IR35
10. Support the procurement function administration when required.
Person Specification
Experience
1. Essential to have a strong administration background
2. Advantageous that candidate can demonstrate having previous experience in the management of subcontractor and the quality control procedure

1. Ability to organise own workload
2. Ability to prioritise work and deliver to tight deadlines
3. Able to maintain accurate and timely records as required by the role
Working with People:
1. Able to establish a rapport with service users as necessary e.g. clients, members of the public, contractors etc.
2. Understands how to encourage and influence people
3. Understands the needs of others and able to respond accordingly
Communication:
1. Have good knowledge of Microsoft office including Outlook
2. Has excellent spoken skills e.g. telephone and face-to-face conversations
3. Has advanced written and numeric skills appropriate to the job
Qualifications minimum requirements
1. GCSE Level A -C or equivalent English
2. GCSE Level A -C or equivalent Mathematics
