Finance Analyst/Accounting Technician/Assistant Management Accountant - 3 months - £200-250 p/day inside IR35 - hybrid
Our government client is looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to work in either their London, Bristol, or Manchester offices on a flexible hybrid basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the full purchase-to-pay processes for the organisation, including raising purchase orders, virtual credit cards, and management of subsequent invoices.
2. Advise programmes and directorates on best practices and compliant payment routes.
3. Analyse finance reports from the ledger, reconcile the reports, present findings, and take relevant actions for programmes/directorates.
4. Manage the end of month financial accruals and journal entries for respective directorates.
5. Ensure journal entries are completed in a timely manner, with correct debit and credit entries supported by appropriate evidence.
Experience required:
* Ideally fully AAT qualified or extensive experience (5 years +) in an Accounting Technician or similar role.
* Experience of month end and year end financial processes (reconciling ledgers, completing journal entries).
* Understanding of the end-to-end Purchase to Payment process (raising purchase orders, receipting purchase orders, and paying invoices).
