Responsibilities of a Health Care Assistant:
* Care for and support children with a person-centred approach within their home, enabling access to the community.
* Promote independence.
* Assist with personal care as required.
* Administer medication once training and competency are complete.
* Assist with food preparation.
* Help with moving and handling for those with limited abilities once training is complete.
* Participate in domestic and household tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
* Engage in community activities.
* Get to know each child you support, discovering their interests and needs while providing mentoring.
* Create a safe and caring environment that meets the children’s needs.
* Work in accordance with relevant Company Policies and Procedures.
* Communicate with parents and relevant professionals.
