and Responsibilities
Introduction
Semi Skilled Technicians will be responsible for manufacturing any Electronic and Electro-mechanic sub and top level assemblies, such as, integration of built electrical boards, wiring and final assembly; in accordance with provided specifications, policies, procedures and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
• Understanding of drawings, specifications and manufacturing instructions
• Support manufacturing process at SMT (Surface Mount Technology) line
• Assembling/placing of through-hole components including lead forming and soldering
• Electro-mechanical assembly of various sub-assemblies up to and including complete module and top level assembly
• Ensure that product is manufactured to the correct standard and delivered on time
• Be proactive in the use of lean techniques
• Use of the system to access manufacturing instructions, procedures and forms, and to raise reports for non-conforming product
• Adhere to 5S plan and monitor shelf-life material in manufacturing area
• Create product file during assembly and provide traceability for document retrieval
• Support service activities on demand, if required, and covered by personal training, certifications and stamp approval
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Core Requirements
• Qualified to a minimum of GSCE Grade C in Maths and English
• Previous experience of working within an Electronics industry or similar discipline
• Able to work from detailed drawings and or manufacturing instructions
• Use of general tools - screwdrivers, wire strippers, soldering iron etc
• Basic use of computer - office tools
• Learning / Development - ability to undertake training to reach the required level of knowledge
• Flexible and able to work additional hours and shifts, if required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, to strict deadlines, as part of a small team as well as being able to work on own initiative
Desireable Skills and Experience
• Certified to IPC 610 and IPC 620 and / or J-STD-001, and / or HPC 19 / IPC 7711 and IPC 7712.
