Junior Event Coordinator We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee/Junior Event Coordinator to join our team of Event Coordinators at Heaton House Farm, based in Rushton Spencer. The Junior Events Coordinator role is the perfect role for a recent graduate to gain a good grounding in events management or someone who wishes to retrain from within the hospitality industry. Responsibilities as our Trainee/Junior Event Coordinator will include: Learning how our event space can be utilised for each event and changed to match the requirements of our clients. This will lead on to you showing potential clients around the venue and confidently negotiating General day to day admin including answering emails, phone calls, booking appointments and meetings as well as dealing with accommodation enquiries Managing the accommodation system and assisting with check-in/out With the support of the senior coordinators, finalising arrangements with clients and coordinating the event on the day Acting as the first point of contact during the smaller events as well as acting as Master of Ceremonies providing any announcements throughout the day ensuring the events run on time Liaising with the various other teams to ensure set up and delivery of the events meets our high company standards and most importantly exceeds client’s expectations Our Trainee/Junior Event Coordinator will come equipped with the following qualities: Experience - e xperience or a degree in events/hospitality management would be beneficial Customer service – a huge part of this job role is speaking with lots of different clients, guests and suppliers ensuring that they all receive a 5star level of customer service and leave with a smile on their faces. To provide this you must have the desire to go above and beyond to give our clients the best experience possible Attention to detail – having a keen eye for the smaller details which help to make the perfect event Admin skills – being able to confidently prepare the event documentation that goes hand in hand with providing an organised, seamless event A good communicator – having the confidence and communication skills to speak with our clients and guests Self-motivated but also a team player – you will be an integral part of our team however an element of the role requires you to compile your own to-do list and being self-motivated. Organisational – ability to oversee several projects at once Self development – this role allows you to learn and develop to progress within the team. To reach the full potential of the role the right candidate will show a willingness to seek out new areas for self-development and be proactive to learn new skills Flexible and willing to work weekends – as with events, many take place on weekends so working weekends as well as some evenings is a given Loves nature and animals – we are located on a farm and occasionally you might have to feed our lambs Due to our scenic location, an interest in farming/nature would be an advantage Be a fun person to have around – this is a fun and exciting role and we are looking for someone who can fit into our lovely team You will need to build relationships easily with the internal team members, recommended suppliers, couples and guests What do Heaton House Farm offer in return?
