OutThere are supporting our client to recruit a Full Time or Part Time Accounts Assistant/Finance Coordinator based in Portsmouth, to join their small and personable team of 13.
You will work alongside one other member of accounts, to be a pillar of financial excellence, ensuring the company stays on a solid financial footing. This will be achieved through analysing market trends, mitigating financial risks, and safeguarding the company assets and long term stability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Maintain financial records and files, ensuring they are up-to-date and organised.
* Perform reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including tracking payments and managing outstanding invoices.
* Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
* Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly performance reports.
* Liaise with various departments to resolve financial discrepancies and provide financial insights.
* Utilise financial software to enter data accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reporting.
* Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and best practices to maintain compliance.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Finance Coordinator, Finance Manager or similar role.
* Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
* Must have experience using SAGE Accounting.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* AAT level 3 qualified.
