A leading contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team, delivering substation and power projects valued between £30m and £70m. This role, based in Potters Bar, offers hybrid working and a competitive day rate outside IR35. About the role of Quantity Surveyor You will take ownership of the commercial functions for major power projects, ensuring effective cost control and contract management. With a hybrid working model, you'll split your time between site, office, and remote working. Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor: Manage cost control and commercial reporting for substation and power projects. Handle subcontractor procurement and commercial performance. Prepare and review valuations, forecasts, and cost reports. Ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation under NEC contracts. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to optimize financial outcomes.Requirements for Quantity Surveyor: Experience in power, utilities, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial risk management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexibly across site, office, and home.
