Exciting opportunity alert! Seeking an Investment Analyst to facilitate collaboration between Asset Management, Finance, and Operations. Responsibilities include data analysis, supporting Outcome Optimization Managers, and shaping the investment portfolio direction. What you’ll be doing as an Investment Data Analyst
1. Be responsible for supporting the development and successful implementation of the 5-year current investment plans. Partnering with internal stakeholders (e.g. Delivery Teams, Finance, Strategy and Regulation) to ensure a financially balanced investment plan in line with regulatory drivers and expected outcomes & performance.
2. Provide practical support to key business stakeholders as they build annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
3. Ensure all plans address business and customer needs and align with Thames Water 2050 vision.
4. Contribute to the development of investment decision-making processes that are by industry best practices and national standards such as ISO55001.
5. Support internal governance processes to ensure projects & programmes can be approved for delivery as efficiently as possible through standard ‘stage gates’.
6. Provide support to shape and finalise forecasting cycles and the annual budgeting process.
7. Provide support to continually rebalance the investment portfolio in response to changes/developments and real-time feedback from Delivery Teams.
8. Ensure the live programme is managed effectively and efficiently by developing MI to highlight emerging business issues.
9. Liaise with strategic programme leads to ensure complete portfolio visibility is available to key stakeholders, which aligns with the developing strategic programme model.
10. Where changes to the investment portfolio are required, implement through appropriate change control procedures.
11. Assist with the development of the rolling medium-term investment plans and regulatory business plans where required.
This role will be hybrid-based at Clearwater Court; you will be required to work at our offices and sites as the business requires.
36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
What you should bring to the role
12. Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.
13. Operated within an asset management/portfolio management role, ideally within the utilities sector.
14. Demonstrable track record of developing and managing capital investment programmes through several business planning cycles.
15. Commercial solid/financial track record developed within a multi-stakeholder and regulated environment.
16. Financial acumen, management accounting or Programme Management Office (PMO) experience would be advantageous.
17. SAP cost planning experience may also be an advantage.
