We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated Nursing Associate to join our friendly, supportive and exciting family team on Ward H3 at Salford Royal Care Organisation, Part of the Northern Care Alliance.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team providing planned care and delivering the highest standards of patient care within Ward H3. The role is exciting and challenging, where compassion, teamwork, excellent communication skills, emotional resilience and initiative are paramount. H3 is a 25 bedded Renal Ward, with patients at a variety of different stages of Kidney failure, including end-stage renal failure patients who require inpatient dialysis.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
You will need to have experience of working in an acute hospital environment or community setting as well as a Nursing Associate qualification at level 4. Experience of working with patients with acute medical conditions would be an advantage.

* Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
* Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code
* Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
* Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
* Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
* Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
* Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload
* Ability to deal with non-routine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact
* Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and non-verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multidisciplinary team
* Ability to develop effective and appropriate relationships with people, their families, carers and colleagues
* Ability to support, supervise, assess and act as a role model to nursing associate students, other learners and health care support workers as required within the clinical setting
