Job summary Granville House Medical Centre are looking to expand and have an opportunity for a part-time skilled phlebotomist to join the team. Main duties of the job The post-holder will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients, ensuring accurate labelling and handling and maintaining a clean and safe environment. They will work closely with GP's and Nurses to ensure the efficient and effective provision of high- quality patient care to our patient population. It is essential that the post holder has excellent communication and time-management skills and a patient centred approach. Perform venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients following clinical protocols. Label, store and prepare specimens for transportation and laboratory testing. Ensure patients feel at ease and managing anxious patients professionally. Maintain accurate records of patient consultations and specimen collections, ensuring patient identification checked at all times.
