Salary: Competitive salary (to be discussed at interview)
Hours: Full Time
OVERVIEW
The church was planted in September 2014, by a small group of young adults. In the ten years since then, we have grown fairly constantly and moved through many phases of maturity. Today, the church is full of life and vibrancy, meeting across three congregations in central London, and gathering predominantly 20s and 30s from a wide array of backgrounds and nationalities. In addition to our Sunday services, we have around thirty midweek home groups (called Life Groups). We seek to engage in evangelism to secular Londoners through our Salt Live events and the Salt Course, and we experience an ongoing and ready opportunity to help those with no faith as well as those who are rediscovering faith in Jesus.
As the church has grown, the children’s ministry has steadily grown in size. There are many young families at Grace London, with ~80 children currently involved in the children’s groups. We currently run five children’s groups for 2-12 year olds and anticipate beginning youth work as the current cohort of children reaches that age. There are ~60 volunteers involved in the children’s ministry, including a good number of parent helpers.
We are seeking a leader to oversee and nurture our growing children’s ministry. In this role, you will steward and communicate our vision for the ministry, manage and support the volunteer team, and design engaging curriculum and Sunday teaching for our children’s groups. You will also play a vital role in integrating the children’s ministry into the broader life of the church – collaborating with the staff team, communicating with families, and fostering greater awareness and involvement within the church community.
