As our new Senior Product Designer, Reporting to Product Leadership, we’ll be looking for you to join our Car Clubs team to start off with. Car Clubs - We’re driven to make it as easy and rewarding as possible for people to share their vehicles with others. We build capabilities on the Cuvva app to seamlessly connect people who need to use a car with people who own a car, giving everyone more affordable access to a car anytime, anywhere. On-Demand - We’re dedicated to growing our market-leading short-term car insurance product, driving over £6 million in monthly sales. As a cross-functional team, we focus on enhancing the user experience by deeply understanding customer needs, introducing features that solve customer problems, while optimising all aspects of the funnel. Insurance Systems & Platform - From improvements in our insurance systems, to Cuvva’s infrastructure maintenance and improved developer experience, our goal is to enable and support other teams. Simply put, we help others move faster. Each product team autonomously owns their area of the Cuvva product. Teams are made up of a Product Designer, cross disciplinary Engineers, and a dedicated Product Manager & Engineering Manager. At Cuvva, people come from a variety of backgrounds and have different but complementary skill sets for ultimate collaboration. Within Product, you’re not required to have a degree, many of us are self-taught. You’ll work on data-informed design solutions, leveraging user research, analytics, and A/B testing to improve and refine our products. With your customer-centric and product-focused mindset, you'll contribute to our design system, create high-fidelity UI designs, and prototype interactive experiences that enhance usability and engagement. Your work will directly impact the evolution of our Cuvva platform, ensuring our digital products are accessible, inclusive, and built for scale. As our new Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems through intuitive design, strong research practices, and an iterative mindset. In this role, a passion for your craft is essential, but so is the ability to balance creativity with commercial impact. After learning how things work, we want you to bring a strategic mindset, making informed design challenges that push us to think differently. A large part of this role is about true partnership, working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to drive meaningful results. That means you don’t just rely on your technical expertise as a Designer; you proactively foster a collaborative, open, and engaging environment, ensuring design is a true team effort On a day-to-day basis you’ll: Take ownership of the entire design process, from problem discovery to execution, ensuring alignment between user needs and business goals for your product You’ll work smart, knowing when to turn round a simple solution quickly and when to go deep to truly understand the more complex problems Prototype and test UX/UI features using tools like Figma, incorporating microinteractions and animations where needed Design and document high-fidelity UI solutions, ensuring consistency across mobile and web platforms Run usability tests and experiments, leveraging A/B testing and behavioural insights to iterate and improve product performance Work closely with Engineers to ensure smooth handoff, maintain design integrity, and bring complex UI solutions to life Develop and maintain our design system, ensuring it evolves alongside our product Facilitate workshops, journey mapping, and ideation sessions to align stakeholders and generate new ideas Leverage data and research (both quantitative and qualitative) to inform design decisions and validate solutions Champion accessibility and inclusion, ensuring our products are designed for everyone Contribute to product performance tracking, using analytics to measure and refine UX outcomes Explore and experiment with AI design tools and emerging technologies, finding new ways to enhance workflows, streamline decision-making, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in product design Be a proactive member of the Design community, contributing to and benefiting from weekly design kick-offs, feedback sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums Engage in peer design critiques to refine your work, gain fresh perspectives, and uphold best practices in UX and UI design Champion design best practices and continuous learning, leveraging discussions, workshops, and community-driven initiatives to refine both your craft and the overall product experience You’ll do great here if you have: Proven experience in end-to-end Product Design, ideally within a product-led company A strong desire to collaborate and co-create with fellow Designers, Product Managers and Engineers - recognising that great design is as much about communication and teamwork as it is about craft.
