The Role: Working on a 4 on 4 off basis in our Crewe depot you will manage, lead and support members of the maintenance team to achieve set production targets. What You’ll Do: Responsible and Accountable for the Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency and quality output at the relevant ATC Depot site. Maintaining Compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures. Accountable and Responsible for the Management of the Exam Team and Light Maintenance Team Activities on Depot for the duration of your shift. Responsible for the Implementation of customer requirements and strive for exemplary customer service Responsible for the Pre-planning of operational movements and efficient depot throughput. Working closely with the Stabling and Commissioning / Heavy Maintenance teams ensuring all movements are conducted in a timely manner. Accountable for the effective recording of activities on Customer Maintenance Management Systems. Responsible for Engaging in Conference Calls / Daily meetings with Customers and within ATC. Responsible for the Management and coordination of Visitors and Contractors on site. Ensuring contractors / agency personnel / Visitors are aware of and meet their full obligations to existing contracts and carry out their work in a safe manner. Responsible for promoting good working relationships with workshop staff as well as promoting close communications with supporting function colleagues i.e. – HR/Finance and Commercial departments. Dealing with Employee Relations Issues in a Timely manner in accordance with HR Policies and Procedures. Carry out risk assessments, produce Work Instructions and review Local Operating Procedures. Carry out accident and incident investigations within ATC and for Customers. Manage operational incidents to minimise disruption to both ATC infrastructure and customer’s services. Full job description available on request What You Bring: Qualifications – minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering Experience – previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities in both electrical and mechanical Knowledge – good understanding of depot operations Leadership – previous experience working within a management role.
