About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Transport Co-ordination team as an Assistant Transport Co-ordinator, supporting the team and developing your skills in a passenger transport environment.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The London Borough of Hounslow’s Transport service co-ordinates and provides passenger transport to children and young people with special education needs and disabilities.
It is a busy team providing a vital front-line service to vulnerable members of the community and we are looking for a flexible, highly motivated and confident self-starter to take on the role of Assistant Transport Co-ordinator.
This is not a home working role. The service operates between 6.30am and 5.45pm and operates an early and late shift pattern.
About You

* Have proven experience of communicating, particularly when dealing with difficult situations under pressure, including written, verbally over the telephone and face to face.
* Respond positively to operational challenges and emergencies.
* Be flexible with regard to working patterns and will be required to work a shift pattern from our Depot with early starts of approximately 6.30am and finish times of approximately 5.45pm.
* Have a proven administrative background and good IT skills – word, excel and e-mails.
* Demonstrate the ability to learn new procedures and systems quickly.
* Be organised and able to work on your own initiative.
* Cover front line as and when required.

* Good level of maths and financial qualification / experience.
