Main duties of the job
As a Salaried General Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care as part of our friendly and supportive clinical team. Your role will involve a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations, as well as home visits where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering high-quality clinical care to our patients.
2. Managing a mixture of acute, chronic, and complex conditions within the scope of general practice.
3. Conducting patient consultations, assessments, and treatments, ensuring a patient-focused approach.
4. Supporting preventative healthcare, chronic disease management, and minor illness care.
5. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
6. Contributing to clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and practice development.
7. Ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to clinical governance standards.
You will report to the Lead GP/Practice Manager and will be supported by a team of experienced clinicians and administrative staff.

Princess Street Surgery is located in Gorseinon, a town in Swansea, Wales, near the Loughor estuary, about six miles northwest of Swansea city centre. The surgery team includes four GP partners, a salaried GP, GP trainees, a practice pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, practice nurses, and a healthcare assistant, supported by receptionists and administrative staff to ensure quality patient care.

Job responsibilities
SALARIED GP VACANCY - 2 SESSIONS
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed salaried GP to work alongside our well-established forward-thinking friendly and innovative team.
4 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, pharmacist, nursing/health care assistant team and a supportive administration team all of whom provide excellent care for its 8000 patients.
Vision clinical system, eConsult & Docman Workflow.
Friendly training practice for Registrars and medical students.
Six weeks annual leave plus one weeks study leave to allow continued professional development which is encouraged.
Practice participates in the majority of enhanced services and are high achievers in QAIF and the prescribing scheme awards.
Practice supports and contributes to the Llwchwr Cluster Team which has four local practices as team members.
Situated close to the M4 (junction 47) and the magnificent Gower Coast.
The role will include working alongside the practice multidisciplinary team, managing a clinical caseload and dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
The post-holder will be expected to deliver a high standard of clinical care to patients via telephone triage, face-to-face consultations and on-call cover. Other duties will depend on the skills of the applicant.
The partners support their staff by encouraging teamwork and appropriate training to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Experience
* Experience of continued professional development.
* Experience of QAIF and Clinical Audit.

Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration.
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice.
* Included on a Medical Performers List.
* MRCGP.
* Evidence of up-to-date statutory and mandatory training.
* Specialist interests and skills.
