We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Support Officer to join our team. This pivotal role provides essential operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of services. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient support systems, overseeing customer care processes, and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks such as the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, and Caldicott principles. You will also manage quality assurance systems, handle service planning, and address any complaints processes, ensuring services meet high standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying gaps in policies and procedures, and the ability to implement improvements with minimal supervision. You should also have experience in supervising a team, conducting appraisals, and supporting staff development. A strong understanding of budget monitoring processes and the ability to manage business support-related projects is also essential. We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills, an understanding of local government regulations, and the ability to work well under pressure. A Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent experience is required. Experience within a health or social care setting would be an advantage.
