PROAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.\n\nOur immediate requirement is for an experienced Breakfix Engineer to be a key part of our Birmingham team, representing proAV, taking full responsibility for commissioning, delivery, and execution of new multimedia deployments for the client. The position requires a deep level of technical and operational knowledge, as well as the ability to work and communicate efficiently with minimal oversight. Collaborate with various teams to communicate our operational standards and work in a quality assurance role to ensure requirements are delivered.
Travel will be essential for commissioning projects, training onsite staff or end-users, and executing high-level events.\n\nOne of many openings available at proAV (who have over 500 team members globally), this position is based within our end user's organisation who continue to invest in state-of-the-art technologies, services, and training.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Commissioning & Breakfix Engineer to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.\n\nExperience and seniority of the position will be reflected by the remuneration and benefits package.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDeliver a quality assurance approach to system designs, narratives, products and the overall delivery to the user experience.\n\nDevelop training curriculum to ensure the end users are comfortable on using room systems\n\nStage and commission new multimedia deployments using AV9000 methodologies\n\nWork with vendors, engineers and project managers to deliver systems that meet the operational requirements for end users and event technology\n\nAttend project design and programming meetings\n\nReview and redline drawings sets, bill-of-materials, test fits, etc.\n\nResearch and recommend new technologies that may fit well into our workflow\n\nProduct test new technologies for client environment prior to production\n\nAttend manufacturer trainings, both in-person and remotely, to fully understand new products deployed into our environment\n\nCreate and implement training plans for new and existing sites\n\nProvide hands-on-training to AV operators in our production spaces\n\nOversight and training for the onsite events team to turnover conference rooms at their respective site\n\nCreate and revise standards as the environment and show requirements evolve\n\nTravel for staging, commissioning, training, and event support\n\nTravel can include nights, weekends and overtime hours\n\nProject time tracking, reporting and data analytics for dashboards\n\nResponsive communication with management, stakeholders and team members\n\nEvent support when available\n\nDesirable skills\n\nA strong understanding of integrated AV systems, including mixers, switchers, routers, DSPs\n\nPreferred CTS and CQT certifications\n\n3-5 years' experience in integrated AV environment\n\nBasic understanding of AV over IP ecosystems
