This role involves providing commercial administration, particularly focusing on Quantity Surveying, for the Saltend Chemicals Park Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cash Management (AFP's)
2. Timely submission of AFP's
3. Assessment of AFP sufficiency through comparison with the theoretically modelled AFP
4. Production of exception reports to explain variances
5. Analysis of exception reports to identify themes for improvement and minimise variances
6. Contract Governance and Discipline
7. Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
8. Providing estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
9. Reconciling changes to ensure data accuracy
10. Driving engineering priorities based on cost impact
11. Managing cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects with timely, accurate processes
12. Assessment of change Work Orders and variations in line with the Contract of Agreement
13. Managing cost impact, contingency management, and commitment tracking log
14. Performing quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle
15. Ensuring effective management of post-contract cost variances and change control processes
16. Managing cost auditing and valuation work with a robust validation process
17. Monitoring weekly progress
18. Evaluating planned costs compared to the original approved contract scope of work and identifying differences
19. Generating progress measurement and accounting reports
20. Reviewing and assessing high-risk scope of works for value engineering opportunities
21. Monitoring weekly man-hours spent against budgeted hours
22. Monitoring projects for budget adherence, demand forecasts, and time over-runs
23. KPI Performance Monitoring
24. Production of KPI scorecards covering SHE, Operational Performance, and Innovation & Improvement
25. Ensuring weekly, monthly, and annual governance reports are produced
26. Attending and ensuring risk reduction/change meetings are held as necessary
27. Profit and Loss Monthly Reporting - Month End and WIP
28. Preparation and submission of monthly financial reports to meet the company timetable
29. Production of exception reports to highlight month-on-month changes
30. Analysis of changes to identify further improvement opportunities
31. Monthly Financial Reporting and Forecasting
32. Preparation and submission of monthly financial reports
33. Consideration of forecasts and contract review slide packs

Job Requirements:
1. Experience with project controls software or similar tools
2. Evidence of dispute resolution
3. SAP experience
4. Engineering or commercial qualification
5. Membership in a professional institution (e.g., MRICS)
6. Strong background in dealing with commercial issues
