We are looking to recruit a Children & Family Mission Worker to deliver our children and family focused spiritual programmes and develop other outreach in our local community, to bring children and youth into a living faith in Jesus. This is a rewarding and interesting role, and we are excited to see the mission deepen and grow in Hucknall.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee and develop our children and family ministry, to include Christian input in existing activities such as our Parent and Toddler Group and potential activities such as ‘Messy Church’ and holiday clubs. You will create a welcoming and supportive environment, using your skills to work with children and families holistically. You will contribute into the planning and review processes for the programmes and activities and also maintain close links to the community and any relevant external agencies.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
A commitment to Christianity, being a practising Christian with a willingness and ability to bring ministry to the community.
Experience of organising community activities for a range of different programme participants.
Ability to prioritise, organise and manage your own workload to meet objectives.
Good communication skills and can develop effective working relationships.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
