Our client who is a market leading insurer is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Claims Manager to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and process a portfolio of complex energy-related claims, providing expert support and guidance throughout the entire claim lifecycle. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely settlement of claims, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Claims Handling: Manage and evaluate energy-related claims (renewable energy, off-shore, on-shore) from initial notification through to settlement, ensuring compliance with policy terms.
* Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough analysis of energy claims, including assessing liability, damages, and potential exposures to the insurer.
* Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with clients, brokers, loss adjusters, and legal advisors to facilitate efficient claims resolution.
* Technical Expertise: Provide specialist advice on energy claims, staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that impact claims management.
* Negotiation & Settlement: Lead negotiations on claims settlements, ensuring fair outcomes for all parties while minimising financial loss to the insurer.
* Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of claims activities, provide regular status updates, and prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all claims processes align with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience: Minimum of 7 years in energy claims handling, particularly within the renewable energy, oil & gas, or power sectors.
* Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of energy insurance policies and claims, including familiarity with industry-specific risks.
* Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with a track record of managing complex, high-value claims.
* Education: A relevant degree (e.g., Engineering, Risk Management, or Law) and/or professional insurance qualifications (ACII, CILA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
