Trainee Financial Planner / Glasgow / Permanent / Competitive reward structure
Due to continued success, our client is seeking a Glasgow-based trainee corporate financial planner to assist with developing its award-winning offering further.
Extremely client-focused, this well-established, secure and well run wealth manager offers market-leading financial advice through its highly skilled and qualified financial planning team and latest software.
The client base you will support is predominately made up of medium to large enterprises requiring advice on their corporate financial planning including employee benefits and risk management.
Over time the successful candidate will inherit some of these clients and develop your own client base from your own and the firm's network.
Training is second-to-none and you will be fully supported by experienced and locally based leadership, HR, admin and technical support functions.
There is also the additional option to undertake private client financial planning for those with the desire to do so.
Key responsibilities
* Offer holistic advice to businesses regarding their employee benefits and risk management;
* Work with professional introducers;
* Provide advice on the full array of products including group pensions, private medical healthcare and life assurance;
* Proactively keep up-to-date with new developments in the tax, legal and planning world;
* In-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims;
* Complete risk analysis and design financial strategies.
The successful candidate
* Albeit a background in financial planning/employee benefits would be beneficial but not necessary, suitable candidates must possess between 2 - 4 years' experience in either the financial services or accountancy sectors;
* Minimum undergraduate degree qualification;
* Committed to a career in financial planning/employee benefits;
* Inherently client focused and technically gifted with excellent analytical skills;
* Superb communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging personality.
