About: My client is a leading Civil and Structural Engineer firm with a reputation for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, such as high-end residential projects from new build housing developments to refurbished projects, as well as drainage.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, analysis, and project management. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of a variety of projects, including design, analysis, and project management.
Key Responsibilities of an Intermediate Structural Engineer:
1. Prepare drainage and structural designs by supporting calculations for new build and renovation projects.
2. Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and assess project feasibility.
3. Carry out inspections, report on defects, and recommend remedial works.
4. Prepare UK residential drainage designs.
Qualifications of an Intermediate Structural Engineer:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. 2 years of experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably in residential projects.
3. Desire to work towards Chartership status.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
