Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking an experienced Corporate Compliance Analyst to join the team!
As a compliance analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies in the auto and home insurance industry. You will monitor, analyze, and report on compliance issues, risks, and trends, and provide recommendations for improvement. You will also collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
This is a hybrid position that requires three days per week in our Lincoln, RI office and provides two work-from-home days per week.
Responsibilities:
1. Review and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct compliance audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks and gaps.
3. Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.
4. Research and monitor changes in the auto and home insurance industry, laws, regulations, and standards, and communicate them to relevant departments and staff.
5. Assist in the development of controls and control testing for the compliance program in collaboration with the Compliance Officer.
6. Provide compliance advice and guidance to staff and management on compliance-related matters, such as policies, procedures, contracts, products, and services.
7. Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs to staff and management.
8. Participate in compliance projects and initiatives and support the compliance officer and team in achieving compliance goals and objectives.
9. Collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues and improve processes.
10. Keep abreast of new laws and regulations impacting the insurance industry.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field is preferred.
2. At least two years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or legal in the auto, home, or life insurance industry.
3. Experience with the development of controls and control testing.
4. Knowledge of auto, home, or life insurance products, services, operations, and regulations.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
7. High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software and tools.
