Finegreen are supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a senior healthcare engineering professional for an initial period of 6 months.
Due to the nature of this role, the candidate will need to be an Approved Person (AP) in one of the following areas: HTM02 – Medical Gas, HTM03 – Ventilation and Heating or SHTM08-08 – Pressure Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert, be accountable for the maintenance mechanical services within the Trust and ensure that it fully compliant and/or well maintained in line with industry standards;
Provide advice for the Estates Team which includes both Maintenance and Projects Teams and will involve assurance and audits as well as developing specifications for projects;
Robustly manage the performance of contractors engaged to provide estates services; ensuring that contract credits are applied as appropriate;
Establish robust contract management procedures; ensuring that meetings are minuted, and actions logged and their delivery robustly managed;
Ensure that contractors are aware of and adhere to the Trust’s Safe working Policy and Permit to Work System;
Develop appropriate key performance indicators to measure and report the performance of suppliers contracted to carry out estates and facilities services;
Contractors are procured in accordance with the Trust’s SFI and Standing Orders.
Produce PPMs that can entered into the CAFM system to be carried out by the Hub Teams;
Robustly manage the performance of contractors engaged to provide estates and facilities services; ensuring that contract credits are applied as appropriate; ensure works are done to the required quality, programme and cost;
Ideal Candidate:
Degree in Engineering, or other estates related subject; and substantial experience as a senior manager within an estates and facilities department;
Negotiation, communication and influencing skills;
Must hold current healthcare AP status.
