Launch Engineering Manager -
* Provide supervisory and engineering support for launch activities
Main objectives and results :
* Manage, coach, and train the Manufacturing Engineering team
* Coordinate launch team activities and support site development projects
* Oversee project management for all launch-related projects
* Plan workload during production shutdowns for major projects
* Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, on-cost product launches
* Prepare RFQs, review contracts, and manage risks
* Coordinate with external contractors as needed
* Ensure work by staff or contractors meets standards and address deficiencies
* Manage changes and implement team adherence to IAC Project Management Systems
* Support program targets through plant interface management
* Maintain positive relationships with customers and ensure IAC profitability
* Complete and update Launch Readiness Reviews
* Participate in customer launch meetings
* Update and monitor Engineering and Launch KPIs
* Resolve issues that fall outside standards
* Lead key issue resolution in Launch Readiness Documents
* Identify and escalate issues requiring management intervention
* Manage launch processes and reviews
* Maintain project milestones and timing plans
* Ensure continuity of engineering and project deliverables
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Multi-skilled engineer with HND/degree level certification
* Experience in automotive manufacturing engineering
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with a sense of urgency
* Decision-making and proactive problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently and in teams
* Experience managing significant CAPEX projects
* Experience in high-pressure, demand-focused environments
* Professional communication skills across all organizational levels
* Knowledge of customer requirements, manufacturing processes, and regulatory standards
* At least 3 years' experience in JIT/Lean manufacturing environments
* Knowledge of MES, DC tooling, EOL electrical testing, and Vision systems is advantageous
