What you'll be doing Your role will be to understand the complexities of how card payments are processed and how fraudsters operate in this space. Using your analytical ability, you will design rules which will make real-time authorisation decisions. Strategic thinking will be necessary as fraud and payments are ever-changing. You'll need to be flexible and creative and always seeking improvement. You'll be involved in: Analysing data and identifying trends and patterns Designing and adapting fraud rules Building relationships with stakeholders Presenting your findings clearly and accurately with internal and external parties Identifying risks and their mitigation associated with new initiatives About you We are interested in people who are curious, logical and keen to learn. No two days are the same and the successful candidate will need to be flexible and proactive with their approach to problem solving. As a minimum requirement you'll need to have: Excellent analytical skills You will have worked in one of the following spaces; Economic Crime; Fraud, AML or Risk. Experience writing code in SQL or SAS or in other coding/analytical tools, writing in languages such as Python or C#. Fluency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.) Experience of leading/supporting changes to process The ability to interpret complex information and identify trends A logical approach to problem solving with the confidence to make recommendations for solutions A passion for learning and doing the right thing Excellent personal organisation with the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively Our Customer First behaviours are all about putting customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
