KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity and performance.
2. Lead the dry side team and contribute to the development and promotion of the centre.
3. Assist in the operation of the leisure assistant rota, the supervision of dry side equipment set up for day to day bookings and major events.
4. Inspect and clean all dry side areas as required and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
5. Comply with Health & Safety recommendations and any additional standards set by High Life Highland and be conversant with the role and responsibilities of the post.
6. Update yourself regularly on all written operating procedures and carry out accordingly.
7. Organise/lead activities and classes within the programme required by the Manager, Assistant Manager and Supervisor and support the running of our children’s activities and play schemes in the holidays.
8. Assist with and supervise the efficient and safe operation of water and land based activities.
9. Set out and take down equipment, ensuring it is maintained to a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
10. Provide effective, preventative life guarding of all pool sessions.
11. Carry out the emergency action plans in the event of any accident or injury and effect water rescues and first aid treatment in line with the appropriate training.
12. Maintain physical and lifesaving training at the level required to comply with current Health & Safety regulations and any additional standards set by High Life Highland and participate in any training provided to assist with this requirement.
13. Carry out routine maintenance of equipment and fittings as required.
14. Carry out general cleaning of all areas to a high standard.
15. Check for cleanliness and safety on a regular basis and ensure safe methods of work are achieved.
16. Provide first aid treatment if qualified and trained to do so.
17. Cover reception duties as required.
18. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policy.
19. Be conversant with the High Life membership scheme and actively promote the benefits package.
20. Be friendly and helpful to customers and uphold a high standard of customer care.
21. Attend training as required and achieve and maintain relevant qualifications.
22. Bring to the attention of the manager, assistant manager or supervisor any improvements that might increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the centre.
