Maintenance Service Engineer, Electrical Bias

THE BUSINESS
Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Hartlepool. They are a high value manufacturer who utilise a variety of automated and semi-automated machine processes to produce their products. They have a wide portfolio of products within their brand and they act to serve a variety of markets. The organisation is a true believer in personnel development and continually up-skilling their teams.
THE ROLE
1. Delivering planned and reactive maintenance within a high-volume production facility
2. Maintaining automated and semi-automated equipment such as conveyors, presses, cutting machines, guillotines, CNC machinery and levelling machines
3. Also working to ensure facilities maintenance
4. Follow work methods and procedures to ensure the smooth running of plant equipment
5. Solve equipment issues using effective fault diagnosis skills
6. Implement immediate containment, together with longer term innovative solutions
7. Ensure all documentation is completed as required
8. Follow routine preventative and predictive maintenance programs
9. Liaise with and supervise external contractors whilst on site
10. Maintain, document and order critical and consumable spares consignments
11. Carry out overhauls, upgrades and rebuild equipment
12. Undertake the commissioning and installation of new equipment
13. Perform other duties as requested in line with position held within the business
THE PERSON
1. Must be time served and multi-skilled with an Electrical bias
2. Experienced working within a high-volume production environment
3. PLC experience is – Siemens S7
4. Mechanically competent
5. FMCG experience
6. Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and conveyor control systems
7. Experience in manufacturing environments
8. Ability to prioritise & manage multiple opportunities and deadlines
9. Professionalism and ethics
10. Continuous self-improvement
11. Must be happy to work shifts
12. Must be flexible and be a self-starter
13. Health and safety competence
