The Role
As an Admissions Officer at OIC Brighton, you will play a vital role in the student admissions process by providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to prospective students and their families. You will be responsible for managing admissions enquiries, assisting with application processing, and ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions experience for all applicants.
The first point of contact for prospective students and their families, you will respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, providing accurate and detailed information about OIC Brighton's programs, admission requirements, and application procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responding to day-to-day admissions queries from parents, families, agents, and feeder schools via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and detailed information about OIC Brighton programmes, admissions requirements, and application procedures.
2. Handling applications, gathering information from suitable applicants, and helping to assess the quality of the application for admissions.
3. Managing all administrative aspects of the admissions and enrolment process of new students including recording new students on the school's database, administering tests, and arranging interviews.
4. Ensuring effective pipeline management of enquiries at each stage of the process.
5. Liaising with the marketing officer to ensure that the requirements for marketing are well communicated.
6. Ensuring accurate records are kept e.g., student enquiry data, correspondence, parent information, etc. This will involve use of Salesforce admissions systems.
7. Monitoring data and creating regular reports/analysis relating to the recruitment of students.
8. Working to help organise, deliver, and attend Open Events and other recruitment events with the academic and support team.
9. Coordinating and leading student and parent visits and tours of the College.
10. Liaising with the administrative teams to put in place accurate and up-to-date student records.
11. Ensuring all pre-arrival information sent to students is up to date, accurate, and appropriate, including the Welcome Pack.
12. Collaborating with the agents to gather necessary documentation and information for the timely issuance of Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to eligible students.
13. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UKVI rules, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to student visas, ensuring compliance throughout the visa application process.
14. Ensuring materials/collateral and website are suitable for recruitment.
15. Overseeing the correct recording of new starter and leaver information.
16. Social Media Support: Collaborating with the MAC team to assist with social media tasks as required. This may include creating content, managing social media platforms, and engaging with prospective students through various social media channels.
This role will involve working closely with many different stakeholders including students and parents, marketing, agents, and GRT.
The MAC Team works with our Global Recruitment Team for international applications to our College. They are also part of a wider Nord Anglia MAC team.
Experience and Qualifications
1. Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational or admissions setting.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail.
3. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle enquiries and requests in a professional and empathetic manner.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
5. Proficiency in using computer applications and databases for data entry, document management, and reporting.
6. Knowledge of admissions procedures and familiarity with educational terminology is an advantage.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
8. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Role Fixed term contract until 31st August 2025
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
