Qualified Social Worker - Looked After Children Team

Our client, Luton Council, who are committed to providing the highest quality of care and support to children and young people in need, are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and young people's needs, ensuring their safety and well-being are the top priority.
2. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including birth families, foster carers, adoptive parents, and other professionals, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to achieving permanency.
3. Provide direct support and intervention to children, young people, and their families, using evidence-based practices and promoting positive outcomes.
4. Ensure that the voice and wishes of children and young people are heard and incorporated into decision-making processes.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Social Work and registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England).
2. Significant experience in working with Looked After Children or within a similar role or team.
3. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices related to permanency planning for children and young people.
