Our client is looking for a High-Frequency Network Engineer in London with up to seven years of experience. In this role, you will work on ultra-low latency network infrastructure, supporting their high-frequency trading (HFT) operations and high-speed networking, with a strong focus on reducing trading latency. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimizing high-speed networks for HFT connectivity. Additionally, you will be involved in low-latency network design, including RF link planning, site selection, and signal propagation. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize high-speed networks for HFT connectivity. Develop low-latency network solutions, including RF link planning, site selection, and signal propagation analysis. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routing and switching for high-performance trading environments. Collaborate with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams to maximize network efficiency. Conduct network performance analysis, latency tuning, and packet-level troubleshooting. Requirements: 1-7 years of experience in high-frequency or low-latency networking, particularly microwave networks. Expertise in RF engineering, link budget analysis, and antenna alignment. Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, multicast, PTP timing synchronization). Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) and low-latency optimization techniques. Proficiency in network performance tuning, latency measurement, and packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.). Familiarity with Linux networking, automation tools (Python, Bash, Ansible), and network monitoring solutions. Experience with Cloud Networking in AWS and GCP.
